1909-1911 T206 White Border Cy Young Bare Hand - Sovereign Back!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,440

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Bare-hand-showing pose. Very attractive T206 example of Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young. The offered example is all the more noteworthy as the reverse has an advertisement for Sovereign Cigarettes. Sovereign backs are unusual and scarce, though not in the same league as the rarest of T206 backs (such as Lenox, Uzit, or Drum). Extremely striking card, with bold colors, outstanding centering, and even wear at the four corners. The reverse is well centered with light toning. This is a very attractive example of this classic card, worthy of any Hall of Fame, T206, or prewar-card collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,440
