1909 T204 Ramly Cigarettes Wee Willie Keeler

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,200

Graded VG 40 by SGC. Extremely attractive mid-grade example of Hall of Famer Wee Willie Keeler from the prized T204 Ramly series. This card features a classic portrait image of the New York Highlander's outfielder, one of only fifteen Hall of Famers in the Ramly set. The Ramly series is universally recognized as one of the most desirable of all the tobacco-card issues. These cards have always been appreciated by collectors both for their rarity and distinctive style. The offered card boasts a crisp image, outstanding centering, and light honest wear to the corners and delicate edges. The back is boldly printed with light toning present. This card is from the "Lionel Carter Collection," which is of special note as Carter was one of organized card-collecting's most legendary pioneers. This is a superb example that would be a tremendous addition to any T204 set, Hall of Fame, or prewar-card collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
