1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folder "Ty Cobb Steals Third" Ty Cobb/Moriarty PSA EX 5

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $1,800

Graded EX 5 by PSA. Only ten examples have been graded higher by PSA. This is one of the most desirable of the five Cobb cards in the 1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folders series, featuring Cobb on both an end panel and center panel. The center panel features Cobb in his famous sliding pose, which is based on a photograph by legendary photographer Charles Conlon. T202 Triple Folders are one of the most condition-sensitive of all card issues, as well as one of card collecting's most popular and classic sets. Because of their unique design, with folding end-panels, they are particularly difficult to find in high grade, and are often graded very harshly. The offered example is centered slightly to the right, with deep, rich colors, and four strong corners. This is a striking high-grade example of one of vintage-card collecting's great Ty Cobb cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $1,800
