1909 E92 Dockman & Sons Heinie Zimmerman PSA NM 7 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $720

Graded NM 7 by PSA. Ultra high-grade example of Heinie Zimmerman (Chicago Cubs) from the E92 Dockman & Sons caramel-card set. One of only three graded at this level with none higher! E92 Dockman & Sons is a very scarce caramel issue from 1909 that shares designs with several other closely related candy issues (Croft's Candy, Nadja Caramels, etc.) from the same era. The offered example is bright and fresh, with brilliant colors, four strong corners, and centering slightly to the left. The back is boldly printed and perfectly clean. Caramel cards, because they were issued with candy, one card per package, did not easily escape damage or hold up well to wear over the years. A grade of Near Mint is outstanding for a caramel card. Approximately five percent of the PSA-graded population of E92 Dockman & Sons cards have received the grade of Near Mint or better. This is a tremendous card in extreme high grade from one of the most popular, elusive, and colorful of all “E” card issues. Reserve $300. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $720
