1909 E92 Dockman & Sons PSA EX-MT 6 Collection (3)
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,200
Outstanding high-grade trio of cards from the E92 Dockman & Sons caramel-card set, each graded and encapsulated EX-MT 6 by PSA. E92 Dockman & Sons is a very scarce caramel issue from 1909 that shares designs with several other closely related candy issues (Croft's Candy, Nadja Caramels, etc.) from the same era. This collection consists of the following: George Gibson (Pittsburgh Pirates, 1 of 2, two higher), Hans Lobert (Cincinnati Reds, 1 of 1, five higher), and Marry McLean (Cincinnati Reds, 1 of 1, three higher). The offered examples are all bright and fresh, with brilliant colors, four strong corners, and outstanding centering. Perfectly clean and boldly printed reverses. Caramel cards, because they were issued with candy, one card per package, did not easily escape damage or hold up well to wear over the years. EX-MT 6 is an outstanding grade for a caramel card! A tremendous group of three high-grade cards from one of the most popular, elusive, and colorful of all “E” card issues. Total: 3 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $1,200
