Pristine 1967-1972 Official Jack Dolph ABA Basketball in Original Box!

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $4,200

Official Jack Dolph ABA basketball, housed in its original retail box, dating from the 1967-1972 manufacturing period. Dolph was the ABA's second full-time commissioner and official balls bearing his facsimile signature are scarce, especially high-grade examples such as this. The offered ball is in pristine Near Mint to Mint condition and represents one of the finest examples we have ever seen. The ball remains housed in its original Rawlings retail box (9.5 x 9.5 x 9.5 inches; Vg), complete with the original plastic bag, air pin, care instructions, and Rawlings certificate of guarantee. Also included is the original ABA invoice, dated 5/21/71, that records the sale of two official ABA basketballs at a price of $19.30 each to an employee working for Conde-Nast. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $4,200
