1940 The Three Stooges No Census No Feeling Lobby Card
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,160
Lobby card from the 1940 Three Stooges short No Census No Feeling. This card is noteworthy for the fact that the studio art department mistakenly labeled Moe as "Larry" and Larry as "Moe" in the white name cards appearing on their respective images along the base. In the film, which was the group's fiftieth for Columbia, the boys are census takers, which, inexplicably, leads to their taking part in a football game. The card (14 x 11 inches) displays a number of light creases throughout, including a slightly heavier diagonal crease in the upper left corner. The stamp of a former owner appears on the reverse. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,500+. SOLD FOR $2,160
