1940 The Three Stooges No Census No Feeling Lobby Card
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,080
Lobby card from the 1940 Three Stooges short No Census No Feeling. This card is noteworthy for the fact that the studio art department mistakenly labeled Moe as "Larry" and Larry as "Moe" in the white name cards appearing on their respective images along the base. In the film, which was the group's fiftieth for Columbia, the boys are census takers, which, inexplicably, leads to their taking part in a football game. The card (14 x 11 inches) has benefitted from professional restoration in repair to four corner chips, a few pin holes, and minor border tears, as well as cleaning and airbrushing to most of the white-colored border areas and reverse. A few minor edge creases are still visible. Excellent to Mint in appearance. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,500+. SOLD FOR $1,080
