1936 The Three Stooges Whoops I'm An Indian Lobby Card

Starting Bid - $2,000, Sold For - $4,500

Lobby card from the 1936 Three Stooges short Whoops I'm An Indian. In this short, the Stooges' eighteenth for Columbia, the boys disguise themselves as Indians to escape detection from angry townspeople they had previously swindled. All paper from 1930s Stooges films is rare and this example is no exception. Our consignor owned one of only two known complete lobby-card sets for this title (the title lobby card realized $5,332 in our April 2014 auction). The card (14 x 11 inches) displays a single tack hole in both the upper left and right corners, as well as as tiny corner crease in the upper left; otherwise it is in Excellent to Mint condition. Reserve $2,000. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $4,500
