1909-1911 E90-1 American Caramel Nap Lajoie

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,200

Graded EX 60 by SGC. Only four examples grade higher out of seventy-nine evaluated to date. Extremely attractive example of Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie in a portrait pose from the classic E90-1 American Caramel series. For an E90-1 American Caramel Company card, EX is a fairly impressive grade. This caramel card is considered by many collectors to be one of Lajoie’s most striking cards. Bright and clean, both front and back, with vibrant colors, a slight natural diamond cut visible along the top and bottom borders, and four strong corners. The reverse has bold black printing. This is an exceptional example of a key Hall of Famer from the most popular caramel-card set of the era. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
