1971 Topps Football Unopened Second Series Wax Box (24 Packs)
Starting Bid - $5,000, Sold For - $21,600
Original unopened wax box of 1971 Topps Football (2nd Series) containing twenty-four unopened wax packs. This is a rarely encountered complete unopened wax box from this popular issue! The 1971 Topps Football set is highlighted by the rookie card of Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw, along with fellow Hall of Famers Johnny Unitas, Joe Namath, Dick Butkus, Bart Starr, and Gale Sayers, as well as all the other stars of the day. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Mint or Gem Mint cards. This unopened box is an incredible rarity. The entire box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). This is an extraordinary unopened wax box that would be an extremely significant addition to any football or unopened wax-box collection. Total: 24 packs. Reserve $5,000. Estimate $10,000+.
