1902-1911 W600 Sporting Life Earl Moore

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $960

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Magnificent example of Earl Moore (Cleveland) from the W600 Sporting Life cabinet-card set. W600s are one of the rarest sets from the early part of the century, and are one of the most substantial and well-made card sets ever produced. With good reason, they have always been highly prized by serious collectors. Bright, crisp, and perfectly clean, front and back, with square corners showing light wear, a flawless surface, and bold image. The reverse is perfectly clean with a few light traces of staining along the left and bottom edges (not distracting at all and mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy). This is a very striking high-grade example from one of the most important of all twentieth-century sets, which would be a significant addition to any serious sample or prewar-card collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+.
