1938 All-Star Game Program and Ticket Stub

Program and ticket stub from the 1938 All-Star Game, held at Crosley Field in Cincinnati on July 6th. The twenty-four page program, which is not scored, features portrait images of players from each club, as well as league officials. Also included is a full-page tribute to Reds pitcher Johnny Vander Meer, who just one month prior made baseball history by tossing two consecutive no hitters! The program (6.25 x 9.25 inches) displays light wear, including a few light surface wrinkles to the covers, and is in Excellent condition overall. The ticket stub (3.25 x 2.5 inches), which is for an "Upper Grand Stand" seat displays a paperclip impression on the right border and is otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition.
