1931 Philadelphia Athletics American League Champions Team-Signed Ball with Foxx
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,800
Official American League (Barnard) ball signed in either black or blue fountain pen by the following fifteen members of the American League Champion Philadelphia Athletics: Foxx, Simmons, Mack (Mgr.), Grove (sweet spot), Collins, Rommel (sweet spot), Boley, Dykes, Peterson, Moore, Krausse, McDonald, Shores, McNair, and Todt. The signatures of Don Robertshaw and one other individual (illegible) also appear on the ball. The signatures of Grove and Rommel on the sweet spot are equally bold, making it ideal for display. The ball is moderately soiled, with a few minor abrasions. In Very Good condition overall. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $300. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,800
