Autographed 1952 Topps Baseball-Card Collection (9) - All Rare High Numbers!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $3,300

Presented is a collection of nine autographed cards from the rare high-number series of the 1952 Topps set. Each of the nine cards is graded and encapsulated by PSA (all in red labels with the card, not the signature, graded). 1952 Topps is the ultimate postwar baseball-card set. A completely autographed set is unheard of, but if ever assembled would certainly be considered by many as the ultimate autographed postwar baseball-card set. For even the most devoted collectors, the rare high-number cards, which are difficult to obtain in any condition, let alone to find signed by the player, are natural stumbling blocks towards completion. This collection consists of the following: #322 Jackson (with "2x All Star" inscription, VG 3), 326 Shuba (PR 1), 328 Borkowski (GOOD 2 [MC]), 332 Bartirome (VG-EX 4), 350 Abrams (VG+ 3.5), 356 Atwell (GOOD 2), 369 Groat (with "5x All Star" inscription, GOOD 2), 396 Williams (with HOF inscription, Authentic), and 404 Brodowski (with "Best Wishes" inscription, GOOD+ 2.5). Each card is beautifully signed on front (signatures range in grade from "6" to "10") in either blue or black Sharpie or felt-tip pen, with three signed in blue ballpoint pen. This is a very attractive collection of nine rare signed high-number cards from the 1952 Topps set, one of card collecting's great classics. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Total: 9 cards.  Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+. SOLD FOR $3,300
