1955 Topps Partial Set (145/206) with 31 PSA-Graded Cards

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $960

Presented is a very attractive and overall consistent partial set of 1955 Topps consisting of 145 different cards (out of 206), highlighted by Hall of Famers Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, and Harmon Killebrew (rookie). A total of thirty-one cards are professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA (all submitted by our consignor). The 1955 Topps set is one of the most popular and classic of all baseball-card sets! Condition of this partial set is 67% Vg-Ex to Ex (including a few Ex-Mt), 28% Vg, and 5% lesser. Keys: #1 Rhodes (VG-EX+ 4.5), 2 Williams (Gd), 4 Kaline (EX-MT 6), 47 Aaron (VG-EX 4), 100 Irvin (Gd/Vg), 120 Kluszewski (EX 5), 124 Killebrew RC (VG 3), 155 Mathews (EX-MT 6), 187 Hodges (EX 5), and 189 Rizzuto (VG-EX 4). Other Graded Cards: NM-MT 8: #48 (OC). EX-MT+ 6.5: #71. EX-MT 6: #42, 68, and 103. EX 5: #21, 67, 76 (MK), 81, 101, 104, 120, 131, 138, 168, and 181. VG-EX 4: #46, 69, 74, 87, 161, and 174. VG 3: #82. GOOD 2: #95. Attractive mid-grade near-complete sets of classic issues, such as 1955 Topps, are understandably extremely popular with collectors. It's easy to see why: they share the enormous historical significance of higher-grade sets but don't cost a fortune. This is an outstanding foundation for the assembly of a complete set! Total: 145 cards.  Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $960
