1952 Topps #312 Jackie Robinson

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,600

Graded EX+ 70 by SGC (submitted by REA). Exceptionally attractive example of one of the 1950s most iconic cards: #312 Jackie Robinson from the legendary 1952 Topps issue. In addition to being one of the key cards to this classic set, and one of the most famous of all postwar cards, Robinson's 1952 Topps card is part of the rare high-number series (although his card was double-printed and is therefore slightly more available than others from the same series). This is a stunning card that we believe has been VERY conservatively graded by SGC! Bright, crisp, and clean, with brilliant, bold colors, outstanding centering, and four very strong corners. Perfectly clean, both front and back. This card appears Near Mint at first glance! Frequently overshadowed by the #311 Mantle from the same set (which is also a high-number series card and also double-printed), #312 Robinson is one of the few cards that defines the 1952 Topps set for collectors. Robinson is also one of the few Hall of Famers found in the 1952 Topps high-number series. This is an extremely sharp-looking example that would be very much at home in any high-grade 1952 Topps set, Jackie Robinson, or classic-card collection.  Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $3,600
