1954 Bowman #66 Ted Williams PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $2,500, Sold For - $6,000

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA (submitted by REA). Stunning ultra high-grade example of 1954 Bowman #66 Ted Williams, universally recognized as one of the most significant of all postwar baseball-card rarities. Williams, of course, had to be replaced with a different card (#66 Jimmy Piersall) very early in the 1954 Bowman print run due to contractual commitments to Topps. Bright, crisp, and clean, with perfect colors, four sharp corners, snow-white borders, no print marks, and a flawless reverse. Centered approximately 40/60 left to right. An exceptionally attractive ultra high-grade example of one of Ted Williams' most classic cards, from this extremely popular 1950s issue. The SMR value in the assigned grade is $6,500.  Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+. SOLD FOR $6,000
