1948 W464 Baseball's Great Hall of Fame Exhibits Babe Ruth with Bats PSA EX-MT 6
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $480
Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Extremely attractive high-grade example of Babe Ruth (with bats) from the 1948 Baseball's Great Hall of Fame Exhibits set. These unnumbered black-and-white (in some cases green-tint) Exhibit cards feature all-time great Hall of Famers, and no doubt instilled a great appreciation of baseball history in youngsters of the day. The 1948 Hall of Fame Exhibit cards were issued on cardboard stock and each card has the player's brief biography printed along the bottom. This is the scarcer of the two Ruth poses included within a complete set. Crisp and clean, with a full image of Ruth holding ten baseball bats. Only extremely light touches of wear at the corners keep this from grading higher. Only a single NM 7 grades higher by PSA. This is a superb high-grade example of the key card to this classic and often overlooked Exhibit Supply Company issue. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $480
