1914 E145 Cracker Jack PSA- and SGC-Graded Collection (8) Including Eddie Collins

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,700

Collection of eight different 1914 E145 Cracker Jack cards, highlighted by Hall of Famer Eddie Collins. Each card is graded and encapsulated by PSA (five) or SGC (three). The 1914 #144 series Cracker Jacks are far rarer than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 cards were not available by mail, and could only be obtained one card per package in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Because of their method of issue, 1914 Cracker Jacks are also almost always found with various condition problems including caramel staining. This collection consists of the following: #5 Ward Miller (SGC VG 40), 7 Eddie Collins (HOF, SGC GOOD 30), 9 Dots Miller (PSA GOOD+ 2.5), 58 Walter Schang (SGC VG+ 45), 67 Otis Crandall (PSA VG 3), 76 Claude Hendrix (PSA GOOD+ 2.5), 84 Elmer Knetzer (PSA GOOD 2), and 140 Daniel Murphy (PSA GOOD 2). All eight cards are bright and crisp, presenting far better than suggested by their technically accurate assigned grades. This is an exceptionally attractive mid-grade collection of 1914 Cracker Jacks. Total: 8 cards.  Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $2,700
