1912 T207 Brown Background Edward Cicotte SGC EX 60 - Frank Nagy Collection

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $840

Graded EX 60 by SGC. Pedigreed from the Frank Nagy Collection. Superb example of infamous "Black Sox" pitcher Ed Cicotte in a throwing pose from the highly desirable T207 Brown Background tobacco series. Bright and clean, with only the lightest hint of even wear to the corners, and centered low with a very slight natural diamond cut. The Recruit Little Cigars advertising reverse is extremely boldly printed, with moderate toning visible on the entire back, except for in the top left and bottom right corners, where it appears the card was held in place in corner mounts at one point in time. This is a very attractive T207 example of one of Ed Cicotte's most striking cards.  Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $840
