1912 T207 Brown Background SGC-Graded Rarities Collection (13) - All Cycle Backs!
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,900
Collection of thirteen different T207 Brown Background cards, all rarities in the T207 set, each featuring the rare Cycle Cigarettes advertising reverse. All thirteen cards are professionally graded and encapsulated by SGC (except for one PSA). T207s are found with a number of different advertising backs (similar to T205 and T206), and Cycle backs have always been considered to be among the rarest. This collection consists of the following: Adams (VG+ 45), Benz (VG 40), Birmingham (VG 40), Blackburne (VG 40), Bushelman (VG 40), Donnelly (PSA VG 3), Gregg (VG 40), Herzog (VG 40), Hoff (VG/EX 50), Hyatt (VG 40), Kelly (VG 40), McCarthy (VG 40), and R. Miller (VG/EX 50). This is an extremely attractive group, with crisp images and light touches of wear at the corners. Three cards display light creasing. Striking red Cycle Cigarettes advertisements on the back. The rare-back cards (Cycle, Broadleaf, and no advertising) are usually associated with the rarer cards in the T207 set, as virtually all (including all presented here) were only issued with the rare advertising backs. This is an outstanding collection of thirteen of the rarer cards that make the assembly of a complete T207 set so difficult, each featuring the rare red Cycle Cigarettes advertising reverse. Total: 13 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $3,900
