1912 T207 Brown Background PSA- and SGC-Graded EX-MT 6 Collection (15)
Starting Bid - $1,500, Sold For - $3,600
Exceptional collection of fifteen high-grade 1912 T207 Brown Background cards, each graded EX-MT 6 by PSA or EX/NM 80 by SGC. Highlighted by ten highest-graded examples, including three of which are the only example graded at this level. This collection is in very high grade for T207s, which are so often found with cracking or creasing in the fragile glossy surface. Fourteen of the cards have a Recruit Little Cigars advertising back, while one (McCarthy) is a noted rare card in the set and has an Anonymous Factory 3 back. This collection consists of the following: Seven PSA EX-MT 6: Coulson, Erwin (highest graded), Fisher/white cap (highest graded), McCarthy, Perdue (highest graded), Rucker (highest graded), and W. Smith. Eight SGC EX/NM 80: Bradley (highest graded), Ellis (1 of 1, highest graded), Fromme (highest graded, Lionel Carter Collection), Krause, D. Lewis (1 of 1, highest graded), Moran (highest graded), Mullin (no "D" on cap, 1 of 1, highest graded), and Wheat (HOF). All are perfectly crisp and clean, both front and back, with flawless color, a hint of light wear at the corners, and no creases. This small but extremely impressive group of fifteen cards contains numerous notable highlights and would make an outstanding contribution to any ultra high-grade T207 Brown Background set or collection. The SMR value for these fifteen cards in the assigned grades is $4,425. Total: 15 cards. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000+. SOLD FOR $3,600
