1912 T207 Brown Background SGC-Graded Rarities Collection (10) - All Broadleaf Backs!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,200

Collection of ten different T207 Brown Background cards, including Saier, all rarities in the T207 set, each featuring the rare Broadleaf Cigarettes advertising reverse. All ten cards are professionally graded and encapsulated by SGC. T207s are found with a number of different advertising backs (similar to T205 and T206), and Broadleaf backs have always been considered to be among the rarest. This collection consists of the following: Benz (GOOD 30), Butcher (FAIR 20), Hartley (FAIR 20), Kutina (GOOD 30), Mogridge (FAIR 20), Moore (FAIR 20), Ragan (GOOD 30), Ryan (GOOD 30), Saier (Authentic, due to evidence of trimming, otherwise Vg-Ex), and Works (GOOD 30). This is an extremely attractive group despite the modest assigned grades, which are due in part to light creasing, corner wear, or small areas of paper loss on the reverse in the case of three cards (on only one of which is the advertising affected). The rare-back cards (Cycle, Broadleaf, and no advertising) are usually associated with the rarer cards in the T207 set, as virtually all (including all presented here) were only issued with the rare advertising backs. This is an outstanding collection of ten of the rarer cards (including an example of especially noteworthy rarity Vic Saier) that make the assembly of a complete T207 set so difficult, each featuring the rare Broadleaf advertising reverse. Total: 10 cards.
