1912 T207 Brown Background SGC VG 40 Rarities Collection (16) - All Broadleaf Backs!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $3,600

Collection of fourteen different (plus two duplicates) T207 Brown Background cards, all rarities in the T207 set, each featuring the rare Broadleaf Cigarettes advertising reverse. All sixteen cards are professionally graded and encapsulated VG 40 by SGC. T207s are found with a number of different advertising backs (similar to T205 and T206), and Broadleaf backs have always been considered to be among the rarest. This collection consists of the following: Adams, Bauman (Lionel Carter Collection), Birmingham, Blanding, Cunningham, Fournier, Houser, Kuhn, Kutina, Moore, two Moriarty, Phelan, Rath, and two Tyler. This is an extremely attractive group, with crisp images and light wear at the corners. Only three of the sixteen cards have light creases present. Clean and particularly bold advertising reverses (there is a very tiny spot of paper loss on the reverse of Cunningham). The rare-back cards (Cycle, Broadleaf, and no advertising) are usually associated with the rarer cards in the T207 set, as virtually all (including all presented here) were only issued with the rare advertising backs. This is an outstanding collection of sixteen of the rarer cards that make the assembly of a complete T207 set so difficult, each featuring the rare Broadleaf advertising reverse. Total: 16 cards.
