1912 T207 Brown Background "Turkey Mike" Donlin

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,440

Graded EX 5 (MK) by PSA. Crisp, clean, high-grade example of T207 "Turkey Mike" Donlin, one of the most important great stars of the era and the set, and by chance also one of the rare cards in the set. Today collectors recognize many cards as being of various degrees of rarity in the T207 set including “Turkey Mike" Donlin. This example is sharp and clean, with virtually perfect centering, light wear to the corners (slightly more to the top two), and a flawless surface. Clean Broadleaf Cigarettes advertising reverse, with only a small "EX" lightly written in pencil in the top right corner, which accounts for the qualifier. Though not a Hall of Famer, "Turkey Mike" Donlin was one of best-known and most legendary players of the dead-ball era. A very attractive high-grade example of this important rarity from the classic T207 Brown Background series.  Reserve $500. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,440
