1912 T207 Brown Background PSA-Graded Collection (85)

Starting Bid - $2,000, Sold For - $5,400

Presented is an outstanding collection of eighty-five cards from the T207 Brown Background series, all graded and encapsulated by PSA (except for three). The T207 set includes many rare cards and has always been extremely challenging to complete. It is also prone to surface cracking and creasing, which makes finding cards in high grade extremely difficult. This collection, submitted for grading by our consignor, includes seventeen cards graded EX or better. PSA Grading Composite: NM-MT 8 (1 card): Simon (OC). NM 7 (1 card): Stanage. EX-MT 6 (4 cards): Ainsmith (MC), Severoid, Tooley, and Wagner. EX 5 (11 cards): Austin (insignia on shirt), Carey (HOF), Evans, Krause, Latham (MK), McIntire, Miller, O’Toole, Vaughn, Wallace (HOF), and Zeider. VG-EX 4 (26 cards): Ball (MK), Bresnahan (HOF), Byrne, Callahan (MC), Camnitz, Chalmers, Covington (MC), Covington, Crandall (MC), Delehanty, Hallinan, Hamilton, Hogan, Lord, McBride, McGraw (HOF), Mitchell (MK), Oakes (MC), Olson, Paskert, Quinn, Stack, Steinfeldt, Street, Turner, and Wolverton. VG+ 3.5 (2 cards): Bender (HOF) and Spratt. VG 3 (14 cards): Clarke, Devlin (MK), Fletcher, Gainor, Gowdy, Harmon, Kirke, Konetchy, Lewis, Lively, McLean, Moran, Morgan, and Wiltse. GOOD 2 (14 cards): Bradley, Derrick, Devore (MK), Dooin, Gainor, Henriksen, Johnson (HOF, MK), Knabe, Lapp, Leach, McIntire, Milan, Mitchell, and Walker. FAIR 1.5 (1 card): Mullin (D on cap). POOR 1 (6 cards): Carrigan, Daniels (MK), Marquard (HOF), Warhop, Wheat (HOF, MK), and Wilson. Authentic (2 cards): Barry and Wilie. Ungraded (3 cards): Ferry, Paskert, and Wingo (all three of the ungraded cards were designated "Evidence of Trimming" by PSA and could be encapsulated as "Authentic"). This is a tremendous collection of T207s, representing approximately forty percent of a complete set. The total SMR value for just sixty-three cards (factoring in the three half-grades at the lower whole-grade level and not including the fourteen cards graded with qualifiers, the two cards graded Authentic, or the three ungraded cards) is $7,578. Total: 85 cards.  Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000+. SOLD FOR $5,400
