1909-1911 T206 White Border Vic Willis Throwing - Blank Back

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,800

Offered is an an extremely unusual blank-backed example of Hall of Famer Vic Willis (St. Louis, throwing) from the legendary T206 series. Blank backs are very rare and according to T206Resource.com, currently rank as the tenth most difficult back variety (out of thirty-nine). This is an exceptional example with flawless registration, even wear to the corners, and centering to the left. Entirely clean reverse, with a few faint wrinkles visible under close inspection. Encapsulated as "Authentic" by SGC because all blank backs are hand-cut. This is an unusual (and in our experience extremely rare) printing anomaly that is likely to be of great interest to collectors of all the various nuances of the legendary T206 set.  Reserve $300. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,800
