1909-1911 T206 White Border Printing Anomaly Collection (4)

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $300

Extremely interesting collection of four unusual production anomaly cards from the T206 White Border set, each graded and encapsulated by PSA or SGC. This collection consists of the following: 1) Bill Clymer (PSA EX 5 [MC], miscut Piedmont 350 reverse with entire factory line visible at top and advertisement shifted entirely to the bottom left); 2) Wild Bill Donovan/portrait (PSA EX 5, El Principe De Gales back, color shift present on the front, which has resulted in four eyes visible on the front); 3) Bill Milligan (SGC VG/EX 50, orange background instead of normal red); and 4) George Mullin/with bat (PSA PR 1, Polar Bear reverse, which does not appear to have received a full strike of blue color, resulting in an interesting and highly unusual appearance). When it comes to the T206 set, which is the most highly collected of all vintage-card sets, anything unusual (especially if it might in any way shed light on the mysteries of how the T206 set was printed) is of great note. As collectors have become more sophisticated, there has been a growing appreciation for all great rarities and unusual cards associated with the landmark T206 set. This is an extremely unusual collection of printing anomalies that we believe will greatly interest collectors of the various nuances found within this iconic set. Total: 4 cards.  Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $300
