1909-1911 T206 White Border PSA and SGC VG-EX 4 Collection (41)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $3,300

Collection of forty-one different T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded and encapsulated VG-EX 4 by PSA (twenty-two) or VG/EX 50 by SGC (nineteen, two of which are VG/EX+ 55). The collection is highlighted by Hall of Famers Eddie Collins, Johnny Evers, and Vic Willis, along with semistar Hal Chase and the scarce Carl Lundgren/Chicago variation. All cards have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. This collection consists of the following: SGC VG/EX+ 55 (4 cards): Hummel, Pelty/vertical, Snodgrass(catching), and Wilson. SGC VG/EX 50 (15 cards): Clymer, Cree, Fletcher, Freeman, Jordan, Kling, Leifield/batting, Lundgren/Chicago, O’Leary/hands on knees, O’Neil, Perring, Rucker/throwing, Schaefer/Detroit, Stanage, and Wagner/right shoulder. PSA VG-EX 4 (22 cards): Ames/hands at chest, Burch/batting, Chase/dark cap, E. Collins (HOF), Elberfeld/NY, Evers/Chicago (HOF), Ganley, Jacklitsch, Latham, Lumley, Manning/pitching, F. Mitchell, Pattee, Pickering, Schirm, Schlafly, Schulte/front view, A. Shaw, Sheckard/no glove, Tannehill, Thielman, and Willis/throwing (HOF). This is an outstanding group, all in a desirable uniform grade, which would be ideal as a foundation for or to contribution to the assembly of a very attractive complete T206 set, the most popular and classic set of the era. The total SMR value is $4,255. Total: 41 cards.  Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000++. SOLD FOR $3,300
