1909-1911 T206 White Border PSA EX 5 Collection (59)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $7,200

Collection of fifty-eight different (plus one duplicate) T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded and encapsulated EX 5 by PSA. All have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs unless otherwise noted. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. The collection consists of the following: Two Adkins, Ames/portrait, Ball/NY (Sovereign 150), Ball/Cle, Batch, Bates, Beaumont, Bergen/catching, Bowerman, Bradley/with bat, Bridwell/with cap, Camnitz/hands over head, Conroy/fielding, F. Delehanty, J. Delehanty, Dessau, Devore, Donohue, Donovan/portrait, Doolin, Dougherty/portrait (Sovereign 350), Downs, Fiene/portrait, Ford, Hummel, T. Jones, Kling, Konetchy/glove above head, Lake/NY, Leach/bending over, Leifield/batting, Liebhardt, McGinley, McIntyre/Brooklyn, McLean, McQuillan/ball in hand, Mullen, Mullin/throwing, Murphy/throwing, Murphy/batting, Niles, Parent, Poland, Purtell, Puttman, Quinn, Rhoades/right arm extended, Schaefer/Detroit, Schreck (Polar Bear), Spencer, Stahl/glove shows, Stovall/batting, Street/portrait, Street/catching, Titus, Wagner/bat on left shoulder, Weimer, and White/pitching (Old Mill). This is a very impressive group that could serve as a substantial foundation for a high-quality T206 collection, or make a significant contribution to the completion of an outstanding high-quality set. The fact that all are in the identical grade, a grade which many believe offers one of the very best values for cards from the classic T206 series, makes this is a particularly noteworthy collection. The total SMR value for the collection is $4,925. Total: 59 cards.  Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500++. SOLD FOR $7,200
