1888 N126 Duke "Rulers, Flags, Arms of All Nations" Complete Set (51)

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $420

Complete set of fifty-one 1888 N126 Duke "Rulers, Flags, Arms of All Nations" cards. Exceptionally attractive set of these very rare and extremely condition-sensitive triple-folder design tobacco cards (similar to the T202 Hassan baseball series). All cards present with bold colors and technically range in grade from Gd to Vg-Ex (averaging Vg), due to light wear at the corners and along the folds. Each card (2.75 x 4.75 inches) features a portrait image of a country's ruler in the center and a coat of arms and flag on the end panels. This is an extremely attractive set with outstanding eye-appeal. Duke's "Rulers, Flags, Arms of All Nations" are rarely offered as a complete set, and are highly prized by historical collectors and nineteenth-century nonsport tobacco-card collectors. Total: 51 cards.  Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $420
