Near-complete set of forty-seven (out of fifty) N163 Goodwin & Co. “Dogs of the World” cards. Each card is graded and encapsulated by SGC (submitted by REA). Extremely attractive near-complete set of these very scarce and colorful tobacco cards. Issued with Goodwin & Co. Cigarettes, each card features a beautifully rendered multicolor illustration of a dog from a different area of the world. In the following condition composite, cards are identified by the numbers provided by the American Tobacco Cards Price Guide checklist. SGC Grading Composite: One EX/NM 80: #44. One EX+ 70: #12. Thirteen EX 60: #6, 15, 16, 17, 24, 26, 27, 32, 39, 45, 47, 49, and 50. Six VG/EX+ 55: #4, 7, 19, 33, 46, and 41. One VG/EX 50: #37. Two VG+ 45: #25 and 29. Three VG 40: #5, 9, and 18. One GOOD+ 35: #40. Four GOOD 30: #1, 10, 14, and 36. Twelve FAIR 20: #3, 8, 11, 21, 28, 31, 34, 35, 38, 42, 43, and 48. Two POOR 10: #23 and 30. Authentic (1 card): #2. Missing #13, 20, and 22. This is a rarely offered and very attractive nineteenth-century nonsport tobacco-card near-complete set with outstanding eye-appeal. Total: 47 cards.
