Complete set of twenty-five 1889 N230 Kinney Bros. "Famous English Running Horses" cards, all graded and encapsulated by SGC (all submitted by REA). Rarely offered complete set of these extremely popular cards depicting significant race winners. Extremely bright and attractive across the board. In the following condition composite, cards are identified by the numbers provided by the American Tobacco Cards Price Guide checklist. SGC Grading Report: One NM/MT 88: #10. One NM 84: #14. Five EX+ 70: #5, 6, 9, 17, and 18. Five EX 60: #3, 4, 8, 12, and 20. Two VG/EX+ 55: #11 and 23. One VG 45: #25. Three VG 40: #7, 15, and 16. One GOOD+ 35: #1. Three GOOD 30: #2, 21, and 22. Two FAIR 20: #13 and 19. One Authentic: #24. Each card (1-3/8 x 2-3/4 inches) features a horse and rider against a tan background with their respective names and victories set under a Kinney Bros. High Class Cigarettes ad. The back of each card features an additional Kinney ad as well as a redemption offer for a premium photo of any horse in the series.
