1888 N88 Duke "Terrors of America" SGC-Graded Near-Complete Set (48/50)

Near-complete set of forty-eight (out of fifty) 1888 N88 Duke "Terrors of America" cards. Each card is graded and encapsulated by SGC (submitted by REA). This is an extremely attractive set of these rare and very colorful tobacco cards, bright and clean throughout, with even the lesser-graded cards presenting far better than their assigned grades. Issued with Duke's Cigarettes, the set features colorful illustrations of American youngsters playing various outdoor games and sports, including baseball, each with a humorous caption. The back of each card provides a checklist of the set. In the following condition composite, cards are identified by the numbers provided by the American Tobacco Cards Price Guide checklist. SGC Grading Composite: NM 84 (1 card): #9. EX/MT+ 82 (2 cards): #36 and 42. EX/NM 80 (4 cards): #33, 34, 48, and 50. EX+ 70 (1 card): #20.
