1975-1976 Topps Hockey Vending Box (From a Sealed Case)
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $720
Complete unopened 500-card vending box of 1975-1976 Topps hockey. This box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (Steve Hart), the foremost expert on unopened material and is noted to have originated from a sealed case. The 1975-1976 Topps hockey set is highlighted by several Hall of Famers, including Ken Dryden, Phil Esposito, Bobby Orr, and Clark Gillies (rookie card), as well as all the other stars of the day. While no guarantees can be made with respect to the grading of unopened material, there is a very real possibility that within this box are MINT or GEM MINT examples of these cards and others. This is an outstanding complete vending box, perfectly preserved (a small split is evident along one of the side edges, but it does not appear to have affected any of the cards inside), and suitable as a companion piece for any 1975 Topps set, as an addition to any unopened-box collection, or as raw materials for the assembly of an ultra high-quality complete set. Reserve $300. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $720
