1986-1987 Fleer Basketball Complete Set (132) with PSA NM 7 Michael Jordan Rookie

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $2,160

Presented is a high-grade complete set of Fleer's "comeback" issue, the first basketball set produced by Fleer since 1961. Fleer stopped producing basketball cards after 1961 while its powerhouse competitor Topps continued to rule the basketball-card market through the late 1960s until the mid-1980s. This set is loaded with superstars and rookie cards of future Hall of Famers, highlighted by the rookie card of Michael Jordan graded PSA NM 7. This stunning set has bright colors, sharp corners, and an overall pack-fresh quality. Keys: #1 Jabbar (Ex), 7 Barkley (Nr/Mt-Mt), 9 Bird (Nr/Mt-Mt), 26 Drexler (Nr/Mt-Mt+), 27 Dumars (Nr/Mt-Mt), 31 Erving (Nr/Mt-Mt), 32 Ewing (Nr/Mt-Mt+), 53 Magic (Nr/Mt-Mt), 57 Jordan (NM 7), 68 K. Malone (Nr/Mt-Mt), 77 Mullin (Nr/Mt-Mt), 82 Olajuwon (Nr/Mt-Mt+), 109 Thomas (Nr/Mt-Mt), 121 D. Wilkins (Nr/Mt-Mt), 131 Worthy (Nr/Mt-Mt+), 132 Checklist (Nr/Mt-Mt). The balance of the cards grade 96% Nr/Mt-Mt or better and 4% slightly lesser due to centering issues or tiny wrinkles. Total: 132 cards.  Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $2,160
