1974-1975 Topps Basketball Unopened Wax Box (24 Packs)
Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $5,700
Original unopened 24-count wax box of 1974-1975 Topps basketball. Each box contains twenty-four wax packs, with each pack containing ten cards, for a total of 240 cards. This box comes from a very old-time collection consigned to this auction and has been carefully saved by the owner since the year of issue. The 1974-1975 Topps set includes the rookie cards of Hall of Famers George Gervin and Bill Walton, as well as cards of Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Pete Maravich, and Wilt Chamberlain among others. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are high-grade cards of these stars. All the other stars of the day are also included. This box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The display box shows moderate shelf wear. Extremely rare complete wax box worthy of even the most advanced collection! Total: 24 packs. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $5,700
