1983-1986 Robin Yount Signed Pro-Model Bat

Robin Yount Louisville Slugger signature-model ("P72") cupped-end bat dating from the 1983 to 1986 manufacturing period. The bat, which is not cracked, displays moderate-to-heavy use, including ball marks and rack marks. Yount's uniform number ("19") is written on the knob in black marker. Yount has signed the bat in black Sharpie (grading "9") on the sweet spot of the barrel. This bat measures 35 inches in length and weighs 33.4 ounces. According to the H&B factory records as presented in Vince Malta’s definitive resource guide, A Complete Reference Guide Louisville Slugger Professional Player Bats (Black Diamond Publications, LLC, Concord, California, 2007), Yount only ordered 35-inch model R72 cupped-end bats weighing 33 ounces in 1983 and 1985. Yount batted .308 with 17 home runs and 80 RBI in 1983, and .277 with 15 home runs and 68 RBI in 1985. A member of baseball's elite 3,000 Hit Club, Yount finished his twenty-year career in 1993 with 251 home runs, 1,406 RBI, and a .285 average.
