1961-1964 Moose Skowron Pro-Model Bat

The Moose is loose! Moose Skowron H&B signature-model ("R43") bat dating from the 1961-1964 manufacturing period. The bat displays heavy use along its entire length, including numerous ball marks, checking (grain swelling), rack marks, and two cracks in the handle that have been repaired. The bat's original weight "32 1/4" (in ounces) is noted on the knob in pencil. Skowron was one of the Yankees' most productive and popular players during his nine seasons with the club (1954-1962). A five-time All-Star selection while in pinstripes, Skowron helped lead the Yankees to seven pennants and four World Championships between the years 1955 and 1962. He retired in 1967 with 211 home runs, 888 RBI, and a .282 lifetime average. This is an outstanding Skowron bat dating from the time period of the Yankees legendary 1961 season. Length: 36 inches.
