Fascinating original-owner collection of twenty-two baseball and boxing tobacco cards from the 1910 era. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1910 T209 Contentnea Cigarettes "Photo Series" (3 cards): Beatty (Fr), Hawkins (measures small due to possible trim, otherwise Pr), and Prim (Gd/Vg). 2) 1910 T210 Old Mill Cigarettes (13 cards): Consists of two Series 5 cards: Bigbie and Harrington; ten Series 7 cards: Beatty, Biel, Cabrol, Ham, Newman, Prim, Richardson, Sherrill, Simmons, and Wright; and one Series 8 card: Chappelle. Condition is three Vg, eight Fr to Gd, and two Pr. 3) 1887 N269 Lorillard's "Prizefighters" (1 card): Woodson (Fr). 4) 1910 T218 Mecca "Champion Athletes and Prize Fighters" (3 cards): Gans (Vg), Goodman (Vg), and Hurley (Gd). 5) 1910 T220 Mecca "Champions" (2 cards): Corbett (Vg) and Edwards (Vg-Ex). Although this collection is not large in number of cards, it is a very interesting group and ideal for the collector who wants original 1910-era cards, appreciates the diversity of early cards, and does not want to spend a fortune.
