1950 Brooklyn Dodgers Team-Signed Ball
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,541
Official National League (Frick) ball signed in blue ink by the following twenty-eight members of the 1950 Brooklyn Dodgers: Robinson, Campanella, Reese, Snider, Shotton (Mgr., sweet spot), Newcombe, Hatten, Branca, Hodges, McGlothin, Russell, Roe, Belardi, Barney, Furillo, Antonello, Abrams, Ramsdell, Edwards, Jorgensen, Cox, Labine, Bankhead, Podbielan, Banta, Shuba, Morgan, and Hermanski. Signatures range from "4" to "6," averaging "5." This ball was most likely signed during spring training because Antonello did not make the team that year (he played with the Hollywood Stars in 1950, which was a Dodgers farm team in the Pacific Coast League). The ball displays a thin semicircular indentation on a side panel (from a former ball holder; touching upon the signatures of Furillo, Belardi, and Shotton). Aside from that, the ball is lightly toned and in Excellent to Mint condition overall. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,541
