1955 Topps #28 Ernie Banks PSA MINT 9 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $8,888

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Highest graded! Extraordinary ultra high-grade example of Hall of Famer Ernie Banks' second-year card from the 1955 Topps set. This is regarded by many as one of Banks' best cards as it pictures the Chicago Cubs legend in his familiar shortstop fielding pose alongside an ideal portrait image. The offered example is particularly bright and crisp with striking bold colors, flawless white borders, four sharp corners, and perfect centering. Entirely clean, both front and back, with a flawless surface. It is hard to see what keeps this card from attaining the first GEM MINT grade awarded to a 1955 Topps Ernie Banks. This is a spectacular ultra high-grade example which would be a superb addition to any 1955 Topps, Ernie Banks, or Hall of Fame card collection. The SMR value for the assigned grade is $3,650. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500+. SOLD FOR $8,888
