1975 Topps Mini Unopened Cello Box
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,259
Complete original unopened cello box of 1975 Topps Mini baseball. The box houses twenty-four cello packs, with each pack containing eighteen cards, for a total of 432 cards. The 1975 Topps Mini set includes the rookie cards of Hall of Famers George Brett, Robin Yount, and Gary Carter, and many other stars, including Schmidt, Aaron, Ryan, and Jackson. The 1975 Mini cards are 20% smaller than the standard Topps cards and were test marketed only in Michigan and certain areas of the West Coast. Aside from their smaller size, they are otherwise identical to the standard 1975 Topps cards. The colored flush-to-the-border design of the 1975 Topps Mini set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Gem Mint cards. The display box, which comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material), has survived in outstanding condition with bright colors and minimal shelf wear. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $3,259
