1975 Topps Mini PSA-Graded Complete Set (660) - All Cards NM-MT 8!

Starting Bid - $2,000, Sold For - $6,518

Presented is an extraordinary ultra high-grade complete set of 1975 Topps Mini baseball cards. This is one of the finest and most consistent complete sets of this popular issue ever assembled! Each card in this set has been professionally graded and is encapsulated NM-MT 8 by PSA! The 1975 Mini cards are 20% smaller than the standard Topps cards and were test marketed only in Michigan and the West Coast. Aside from their smaller size, they are otherwise identical to the standard 1975 Topps cards. The colored flush-to-the-border design of the 1975 Topps Mini set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. If ever there were a Topps set with what we would call a cult following, the 1975 Topps Mini set is it! It would not take long for anyone with even a passing interest in 1975 Topps Minis to realize that this is an issue with an extremely enthusiastic fan base. The relative rarity, distinctive size, test-issue status, and all-around mystique and intrigue of the set all contribute to creating tremendous interest in the issue, far more so than other sets of the era. It is hard to pinpoint exactly why this is the case, but it is, and has been since 1975! This classic set features all the stars of the era, including rookie cards of Hall of Famers George Brett, Robin Yount, Gary Carter, and Jim Rice, and stars such as Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan, Reggie Jackson, and Mike Schmidt. All cards are graded NM-MT 8 by PSA, with one card (#647 Washington) having been assessed a "PD" qualifier. This set has been assembled with great care and an uncompromising commitment to quality, with a concern for all factors, but with a special consideration to overall eye-appeal, which is evident throughout the entire set. This is an incredible set, without question one of the finest 1975 Topps Mini sets that we have ever seen, let alone offered. The grading fees alone to encapsulate 660 cards would literally be thousands of dollars! The total SMR value for the set (excluding the one qualified card) is $4,604, which in our opinion is conservative considering there are many tough commons and condition rarities that are not valued at a premium in the SMR listing. Total: 660 cards. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000+. SOLD FOR $6,518
