1950s Brooklyn Dodgers SGC-Graded Postcard Pair Including Roy Campanella and Jackie Robinson

Two extraordinary 1950s advertising postcard rarities, each related to the Brooklyn Dodgers, each graded and encapsulated by SGC, prominently featuring Dodger stars, including Hall of Famers Jackie Robinson and Roy Campanella. 1) 1950 "Bowman's Cocktail Lounge" advertising postcard featuring Brooklyn Dodgers: NM/MT 88. Bowman's Cocktail Lounge advertisement on reverse; front pictures Roy Campanella, Dan Bankhead, Don Newcombe, and Jackie Robinson with Lawson Bowman, proprietor of the New York City lounge (which the advertising text on the reverse tells us is located at St. Nicholas Place at 155th Street, New York City" and also adds: "Having a wonderful time at Bowman's. There's never a dull moment when the Dodgers are playing Baseball"). Produced by the National Press postcard company of Chicago. Black-and-white postcard with a crisp image, perfect centering, and four sharp corners. 2) 1954 Roy Campanella Liquor Store Advertising Postcard: EX/NM 80. Roy Campanella's Wine and Liquors (198 West 134th St., Corner 7th Ave., New York City). Campanella is featured in a central image surrounded by four views of his establishment, three of the interior and one of the exterior. Produced by the Eagle Post Card View Co. of New York, NY. Black-and-white postcard with crisp images, near-perfect centering, and postally unused advertising reverse. This is an outstanding pair of extremely rare advertising postcards which would be outstanding additions to any Brooklyn Dodgers or baseball advertising postcard collection. Total: 2 cards.
