1950 Bowman PSA-Graded Collection (30)

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $830

Collection of thirty different cards from the 1950 Bowman set, highlighted by five Hall of Famers, including Richie Ashburn and Pee Wee Reese. The 1950 Bowman set is often overlooked by collectors simply because it does not include a Mantle or Mays rookie, but this was a landmark set in its day, being the first postwar baseball issue to feature full-color artwork instead of photographs. Each card in this collection has been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA (except for two BVG and one SGC). This collection consists of the following: NM 7 (1 card): #172. EX-MT 6 (15 cards): #8 Kell (HOF), 18, 40 Lemon (HOF), 62 Kluszewski, 78, 109 (BVG), 111, 127, 165, 167 Roe, 194, 212, 215 Lopat, 237, and 250. EX 5 (14 cards): #5, 21 Reese (HOF), 25, 29 (SGC), 37 Appling (HOF), 51, 55, 84 Ashburn (BVG), 93, 97, 112 Hodges, 146, 151, and 234. This is an outstanding collection of cards, all very consistent in appearance, from the classic 1950 Bowman set. The total SMR value is $1,184. Total: 30 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $500++. SOLD FOR $830
