1952 Bowman #101 Mickey Mantle

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $830

Graded EX 60 by SGC. Very attractive example of one of collecting's most classic cards, the 1952 Bowman #101 Mickey Mantle. This is a striking Excellent example with near-perfect centering, flawless registration, bold colors, and light, even wear to the corners. The reverse is boldly printed and displays only two small wax stains along the left edge, which are extremely common on 1952 Bowmans. An outstanding representation of one of Mickey Mantle's most important cards, and one of the most recognizable cards in all of card collecting, that can be had for a fraction of the price of a higher-graded example with very little sacrifice (a strong argument could be made that wrapper wax stains add character!) and with tremendous eye-appeal. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grade is $775. Reserve $200. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $830
