1952 Bowman Unopened Five-Cent Wax Pack PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $800, Sold For - $5,629

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. One of only three graded at this level by PSA, with just one graded higher. Classic high-grade unopened five-cent wax pack of 1952 Bowman baseball cards. Few packs have survived in their original unopened state from these early years. This very rare unopened pack looks exactly as they did when it sat on a candy-store shelf in 1952. This pack, which originally appeared in REA's 2010 auction, was consigned at that time from an old-time collection where it had been stored away for decades until it was submitted for grading and encapsulation by REA. This is an extraordinary ultra high-grade unopened pack from one of the premier baseball-card issues of the era. The SMR value in the assigned grade is $3,650. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500+. SOLD FOR $5,629
