1952 Topps #312 Jackie Robinson PSA NM-MT 8
Starting Bid - $2,500, Sold For - $9,480
Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Of the 700 examples graded by PSA to date, only ten have ever been graded higher. Absolutely stunning ultra high-grade pack-fresh card of Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson from the extremely popular 1952 Topps issue. In addition to being one of the key cards to this classic set, and one of the most famous of all postwar cards, Robinson's 1952 Topps card is part of the rare high-number series (although his card was double-printed and is therefore slightly more available than others from the same series). This is an extraordinary card: Four razor-sharp corners and near-perfect centering with snow-white borders and flawless registration. Perfectly clean, both front and back. This gem borders on an even higher grade, and is easily one of the finest examples in the world of this iconic Jackie Robinson card. Frequently overshadowed by the #311 Mantle from the same set (which is also a high-number series card and also double-printed), #312 Robinson is one of the few cards that defines the 1952 Topps set for collectors. Robinson is also one of the few Hall of Famers found in the 1952 Topps high-number series. This is a stunning ultra high-grade gem that would be very much at home in the world's finest 1952 Topps set, Jackie Robinson, or world-class classic-card collection. SMR value is $7,400. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+. SOLD FOR $9,480
